Alan B. Scott, MD, showed his immense commitment to medicine and the medical world by receiving FDA approval for his invention and selling it to Allergen before returning to clinical practice and research. Following his invention, he was recognized by many medical bodies, including authorities in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. He died on December 16, 2021.
