“It will be a glorious time for ladies to relax, fellowship, and enjoy the God’s word and each other in a Christian environment”, said Pastor Caren Susberry, assistant pastor at Victory in Christ Kingdom Church.

“We’ve been stuck in the house for so long because of Covid-19, it good to have a reason to get dressed, get out of the house and spend some time with some other like-minded ladies”, said Pastor Caren Susberry.

Pastor Caren Susberry and her husband Eric Susberry are the co-pastors at Victory in Christ Kingdom Church. Just this month in April the couple were honored at a celebration event for their 28 years in ministry. Victory in Christ Kingdom Church is a full gospel church that is open to any one desiring to fellowship with the Lord.

The event, “Celebrating Moms” will be held from 12pm to 3pm. No special dress code is required and those interested in attending can come they are. According to church representatives, this event is just one of the monthly events given by the Victorious Ladies of Victory in Christ Kingdom Church.

“Every month we try to hold a lady’s event to build community among the women”, said Sister Aprille Shelley, lead coordinator for the Victorious Ladies. “We are trying to plan an event each and every month to give the ladies a chance to fellowship together,” said Sister Aprille.

In March, the Victorious ladies held a bowling event. In February, they held an axe-throwing event. “For the axe throwing event, it was a first time for a lot of the ladies, but they adapted to it quickly,” said Pastor Caren.

“Believe or not, that axe throwing relieves a lot of stress!” said the church assistant pastor. “We might not do it again, but it was a lot of fun!”

To register for the “Celebrating Moms” event, those interested can call the church office at (773) 436-8850 or send them an email at elim2735@yahoo.com. The phones are monitored by a 24-hour answering service, and individuals can feel free to call at any time to leave messages. A representative will return the call as soon as they can, according to church representatives.
