Imagine By Northpoint Teen Treatment Center Launches New Website
BELLEVUE, Wash. — Imagine by Northpoint, an adolescent behavioral and mental health treatment center located in Bellevue, Wash., is pleased to announce the launch of its new website. This new site provides easier access to information concerning the center’s treatment programs and the many ways in which they help 12- to 17-year-olds who are struggling with mental health or substance use disorders.
"We provide every teen with consistent, quality treatment based on a scientific, medically proven, and researched approach," an Imagine by Northpoint spokesperson said. "Our staff assures a safe, non-judgmental, and healing-focused environment."
Half of all mental health conditions start by age 14, the website reports, but most cases go undetected and untreated. For a young person with symptoms of a mental health disorder, the earlier treatment is started, the more effective it can be. Ignoring a teen’s declining mental health condition can have long-lasting negative effects on both their psychological and physical development into adulthood.
Imagine by Northpoint offers individualized treatment plans that take into account the unique background of each patient. Another aspect that makes Imagine by Northpoint unique is its outpatient program. The full-day treatment programs address both mental health and substance use problems in a safe, supportive, and inclusive setting. The center’s outpatient program allows teens to continue going to school and have a social life while also being treated. By combining a personalized treatment program that emphasizes mental health with the freedom to have a social life during treatment, it is possible to eliminate the stress and inconvenience often associated with attending a treatment center.
The center's psychiatrist meets with attendees twice a week to monitor psychiatric needs, reconcile medications, and help patients find healthy stability during the process. They also offer adolescent crisis intervention for increased psychiatric symptoms, suicidal/homicidal ideation, and limited community resources, as well as group, family, and individual therapy sessions.
Some of the therapy methods included as part of the Imagine Adolescent Day Treatment Program are cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT); didactic behavioral therapy; grief, loss, and trauma therapy; crisis intervention; co-occurring intervention; teen relationship counseling; psychotherapy; interpersonal therapy; mindfulness and meditation; and art, music, and pet therapy.
“This was a wonderful and helpful experience for my daughter,” said Erica Nicholson, the mother of a former patient. “She was having a lot of problems communicating her feelings and dealing with things that had happened in school in the past. All the staff were so supportive and helpful to our family. I know my daughter would have been happy if the program was longer.”
